Which Types of Account Locks Can Be Appealed?

At Nivafy, account locks imposed by our safety team due to violations of our Community Guidelines are eligible for an appeal. If your account has been locked and an appeal option is available, you will find this option on the login screen of the Nivafy app or website.

To initiate an appeal for a locked account, follow these steps within the Nivafy app or website:

Open the Nivafy app or click on login on Nivafy website and attempt to log in.

On the notification screen indicating your account lock, select ‘Appeal Decision’ to start the appeals process.

Outcome of the Locked Account Appeal

Upon the conclusion of your appeal:

  • If Successful: You will receive an email informing you that your appeal has been successful, your account will be reinstated, and any strike against your account will be removed.
  • If Denied: You will receive an email notification stating that your appeal has been denied, and your account will remain locked.

Additional Steps for EU Users with Unsuccessful Appeals

EU users who have gone through the appeals process unsuccessfully and wish to further contest the decision have additional recourse. You can engage any out-of-court dispute settlement body certified in accordance with Article 21.3 of the Digital Services Act. This allows for resolution of disputes related to our decision. Additionally, disputes can be raised in accordance with the terms outlined in our Terms of Service.
